Ādara: Honoring Tradition Through Contemporary Stationery

In 2015, Badal Patel, founder of Super Spicy, recognized the need for modern stationery within the South Asian diaspora. Couples often settled for outdated or cliché designs due to limited access or options in the US.

Thus, ādara was born. The collections were designed to blend traditional elements with modern design, allowing couples to honor their heritage in a way that felt personal and true to themselves. A range of custom type, illustration and printing techniques was explored to create a range of refined collections. The unique designs even caught the eye of Mindy Kaling, who commissioned a personal set.
